Valerie Kruijtzer

My name is Valerie Kruijtzer. In the ten years that I have been practising as a lawyer, I have specialised in (national and international) commercial contract law and IT law. In my daily practice, I am mainly involved in drafting a wide range of commercial and IT contracts, advise clients on contract law issues, and frequently litigate in cases where (contractual) liability plays a key role. My focus in this respect is on medium-sized and large SMEs.

Examples of the type of contract I draw up and litigate on are:

– distribution, agency and franchise agreements;

– supply, purchase and sale agreements;

– general terms and conditions;

– contracts of assignment (provision of services, development of customised software);

– co-operation agreements;

– IT implementation agreements;

– SaaS, PaaS and IaaS agreements;

– licence agreements;

– SLAs (service level agreements);

– confidentiality agreements and

– settlement agreements.

Clients often tell me that they are very pleased with my advice and carefully drafted contracts. My motto is: prevention is better than cure. A well-conceived contract can often prevent lengthy and costly proceedings. If litigation or arbitration is unavoidable, I do everything in my power to achieve the best possible result.

I attended the Grotius Academy and took courses in national and international contracts and computer law.
